Installation
How to Install a 4040 Element
The CLEAR Plus 4040 fits any standard 4-inch inner diameter pressure vessel and installs identically to conventional 4040 RO elements.
- 1 Prepare the pressure vessel — Clean the interior, remove end caps and any existing element, and inspect O-ring grooves.
- 2 Lubricate O-rings — Apply food-grade glycerine only. Never use petroleum-based lubricants on brine seals or interconnectors.
- 3 Load the element — Insert from the brine end and push fully home into the vessel before securing end caps.
- 4 Flush and commission — Flush at low pressure to remove preservatives, then ramp gradually to operating pressure for your feed water.
